Ecology of the plants (vegetation classification, succession of vegetation, functional ecology), botany and nature conservation (plant and habitat diversity and conservation, invasive and allergenic flora).

Status and temporal dynamics of the flora and vegetation of the Deliblato Sands; defended 2019.
Current position/affiliation:
● 2011-2014: Research associate at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology and Ecology, Novi Sad, Serbia.
● 2014-2020: Teaching Assistant at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology and Ecology, Novi Sad, Serbia.
● 2020-now: Assistant Professor at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology and Ecology, Novi Sad, Serbia.
*Maternity leave:12 months in 2016 (January-December) and December 2020-November 2021.
Teaching activities and thesis supervision:
- Teaching 12 courses at the University of Novi Sad: Plant Systematics I, Plant Systematics II, Plant Systematics for Pharmacy students, Honey bee plants, Medicinal Plants, Botanical Collection in Study of Biology, Economic botany, Plant allergens and rehabilitation, Allergenic flora, Dendrology, Basics of Forestry, and Field work for students of biology and ecology.
- Supervision of 3 Master theses and 2 PhD theses.
Scientific interests and current research projects:
- diversity, and ecology of critically endangered habitats in Europe, factors of their endangerment, and methods of their active protection (sandy habitats - syntaxonomy, ecology, classification and diversity)
- mapping of habitats
- mapping and suppression of invasive and allergenic flora
Important projects:
Participation in 25 formal national and 4 international scientific projects. The most important projects are:
● 2011-2020 - project "Biosensing technologies and global systems for continuous research and integrated management of ecosystems", project ID: III 043002; funded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Ministry of Science and Technological Development.
● 2014 - Developing of vegetation database for the AP Vojvodina (Northern Serbia); project ID: 130-401-2476/2014-04; funded by the Provincial Secretariat for Urbanism, Construction and Environmental Protection.
● 2014-2015 - Mapping of terrestrial habitats of the Republic of Croatia - "Terrestrial habitat Map of the Republic of Croatia"; funded by the World Bank, beneficiary: Ministry of Environmental and Nature Protection, project name: EU Natura 2000 Integration Project, Project number: IBRD Loan No. 8021 -HR; project coordinator: Consortium - Agristudio S.r., TEMI S.r.l. and TIMESIS S.r.l. ● 2015-2016 - East and South European Network for Invasive Alien Species –A tool to support the management of alien species in Bulgaria ESENIAS-TOOLS; project ID: Д-33-51/30.06.2015; funded by Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009-2014, Programe BG03 Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, Call BG03.1 Invasive allien species networking for information exchange and capacity building.
● 2016-2017 - Bilateral Cooperation between Serbia and Croatia - Diversity of vegetation of the wet meadows in relation to the climate gradient along the southern edge of the Pannonian Plain; funded by Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia and Ministry of Science and Education of Croatia, Republic of Croatia.
● 2020-2023. Bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Slovenia - Floristic and ecological characteristics of novel vegetation types with Robinia pseudoacacia and Acer negundo on southern edge of Pannonian plain; project ID: 337-00-21/2020-09/31; funded by Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia and Public agency for research activities of the Republic of Slovenia.
