Aleksandra Fostikov is a doctor of history, employed at The Institute of History as a Senior Research Associate. She is a member of the Center for Economic History (CEI, Belgrade), Europeana, and European Association of Archaeologist (EAA) and an associate of the Petnica Research Center. Also, she was the main editor of the journal Natpisi i Zapisi (2020-2022) and in 2023 she was appointed the editorial board member of the journal Mesovita Gradja (Miscellanea). Starting 2023 she became a member of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) project CA22155: Network for forest by-products charcoal, resin, tar, potash (EU-PoTaRCh). Within the COST project, dr Fostikov got appointed as a member of the project's Management Committee. In addition she become co-leader of the WG1 (Heritage) from 2025 and member of the Core group. Also she is a member of the WG2,5 in CA23124 - Social, biological and climatic impacts of salt ages (SaltAges) from 2025. Also she got Josef Dobrovský Fellowship for 2025.
